What to do to rid you of ugly carpet stains? This is our #1 question from our customers. The first thing to figure is what the end result will be. Don’t panic as if done quickly and done right, you can save your carpet.
How we advise removing stains from your carpet:
- Try to soak up as much as the liquid as possible. At this point, it’s best to use a towel or white cloth. If there are solids mixed in with the liquids, scrape them up off the carpet.
- Now using a damp clean cloth, very gently dab the stains without putting a lot of pressure into it. As the color of the stain begins to appear on the cloth, start again with a fresh one and repeat the process. Keep doing this until you no longer see the stain.
- If the stain persists, call us on our Mornington Peninsula Carpet Cleaning services hotline.
Dark Colored Stain Removal (Red/Brown Colored):
It is best to leave brown or red stains caused by coffee, wine, or ink to our Mornington Peninsula Carpet Cleaning professionals. As the stain removers you pick up at the local super market may contain chemicals that will ruin your carpet or rugs i.e. bleach. These cleaners can also leave a residue which can act as a magnet for dirt, making your carpet look dirty and dull.
√ Try to dab the spot up with a clean white cloth, but do not put any chemicals on the stain especially if it contains bleach.
√ The longer the stain sits, the harder it will be to remove.
All of our technicians are well equipped to remove stains plus we can also sanitise pet stains and rid your house of smells.
